Baymont by Wyndham Owatonna

The rooms were fine and clean. My issue was with their policies and staff. We were there with our team for a tournament; while that can be a lot to deal with, you can tell they don't care for teams/large groups being there. We respectfully did not bring food in their pool area per their policy, so we tried to eat our dinner in the breakfast area. We were told we could not eat there (even though no one was around) or anywhere else for that matter - but we could pay to rent a room if we wanted to eat. Ridiculous money grab. You are not allowed to be out in the lobby or anywhere other than your room past 12am (and their less-than-friendly front desk reminded us frequently). Yet, they close their community rooms at 10pm? Why not keep those open for adults/large groups? Oh, and the next day, I

Positive: The front desk lady was super friendly when we got there at 2 AM to check in. She was really quick and it already printed out our info. The hotel was nice, clean, and we loved the pool and hot tub area!. (We chose this place because it had a hot tub! ) Negative: ""

Second stay here, both for family events. Fantastic staff, goes above and beyond to make your stay perfect. Cannot say enough good things about them! Rooms were great as was the party room!

I am extremely disappointed with our recent stay. I booked two rooms to celebrate my son’s birthday with a few of his friends. From the moment we checked in, the experience was negative. While the boys were simply standing near the pool area talking and looking at the pool, the front desk employee asked how many boys we had and immediately stated that it “already looks like we are going to have a problem.” She warned that there were other guests and that noise complaints would not be tolerated. At that point, the boys had done absolutely nothing wrong(nor did they the entire stay). When I calmly asked what they were doing that was inappropriate, she did not respond. It was an uncomfortable and unnecessary interaction, especially considering this was supposed to be a special birthday celeb

This is a horrible extended stays hotel. Hotel overall isn't bad its clean not beat up or anything but there is no full size fridge to store food and there is no kitchen in the room so im atuck having to eat out wasting more money than i have to. Small closet with a broken metal bar to hang clothes. Limited on shelves to store clothes also. Nowhere to store dry food either. If I did cook in my room there is a very small sink to attempt to wash dishes in. Not convenient at all if staying more than a few days.
