This hotel was very well priced and in a great location relative to my work, which made it a convenient choice. The property has clearly been around for a while, and it shows. That said, the hotel was actively undergoing renovations during my stay, including new furniture being installed. Unfortunately, I was assigned one of the older rooms that has not yet been updated, so I don’t fault the hotel for the condition of that particular room. Despite its age, the room was spacious and very clean, which I appreciated. It was interesting to see an award displayed at the front desk, showing that this hotel was once very well maintained and taken care of in its prime. Over the years, it does appear the property has been somewhat neglected. The front entrance, which features large columns and lig

I went to visit a friend and this was the only hotel under the CP umbrella in that area. I prepaid and didn't think much of it, primarily because I had no other options at my disposal. A day later I was told by my friend to inspect the reviews. They were not good. I called Choice in an attempt to cancel my reservation, but because I prepaid their hands were tied. So I prepared myself for the worst. Let me preface my own personal review by saying that I'm a diamond member who doesn't sugarcoat things. My experiences with CP hotels are vast, and I was prepared to give an honest, thorough review of this hotel like all others -- good, bad or ugly. As it turns out, mine is going to be unlike most. I have nothing but positive things to say, much to even my surprise. Is this an older

The entrance to the hotel is beside the Exxon gas station however, it looks more like you are driving though the parking lot of the station to get to the hotel behind it. The front desk is difficult to locate because there is no signage so your only clue is the overhang to drive under. At 5:00 p.m. the maids are still cleaning rooms on the second floor. The property is in fair to poor condition and needs much attention, repair and upgrades. The concrete walkways and stucco finish are chipping as is the paint. The metal stairs are rusted and rotten. The room is no smoking but it has a odor of smoke. There are people living here at the property as they rent rooms by the week. These guests have their shoes outside their rooms, chairs from inside the rooms sitting outside to smoke, the

On a road trip, booked a stay as a Choice Rewards member, expecting this place to live up to the brand quality of the past. I have to say, that if it weren’t so late when I got here, i would’ve let the reservation go and look for something that was habitable. The exterior of the hotel is dingy, the inside rooms are worse. This is advertised as a no smoking hotel, but the smoke odor in the room was almost overwhelming. The security lock on the door was broken and unusable so I had to resort to propping a chair under the knob. The carpet is filthy, the vanity mirror cracked from top to bottom, the tub is missing enamel from years of use. It is obvious that the operators of this location are not investing anything in repair and maintenance. The adage “you get what you pay for goes for this lo

On a road trip, booked this for brand reputation. Arrived late in the evening or I would have just cancelled my reservation and eaten the no refund. When I opened the door of the room, I was immediately assaulted with overwhelming smell of stale tobacco smoke, so strong it burned my nose and throat. I’ve slept in worse in Vietnam, but damn, I didn’t have to pay for it. The little door swing guard had been broken and was non functional, Security minus. The carpet is old, dingy, ratty and stained stained, and likely hasn’t been cleaned in years ( likely a big source of the smoke odor). The kind of carpet you don’t want to even touch with bare feet. Tile in bathroom floor was cracked. Tub grout was pulling away and discolored, likely with mold. Tub hardware was rusty. Wall paper was peeling
