Quality Inn Durango

This place is awesome, I've stayed here twice in two years while skiing purgatory only 20 miles away. The rooms are inexpensive, clean and roomy. The hotel staff is friendly and warm. I would definitely recommend this place to others. 👍

The front desk staff were very friendly and were able to change us to a ground floor room. The room itself was dated but clean. The upholstered arm chair could probably use a good cleaning, but I say that about all "shared" soft furniture surfaces in motel rooms! For the price point (very reasonable compared to other chain motels) we received the value we expected. The plug-ins on the lamp base are basically unusable due the looseness of the fit, and as is usual in this age room there weren't enough electrical plugins for today's traveler. We will definitely consider staying here again when we return to the Durango area. It was quiet, and the construction workers staying in other rooms were very considerate when they left very early in the morning.

Came out here for work, 2 rooms were double booked found out at check in. Canceled the booking did not check in manager or owner were not avaliable, still stayed but under different reservation was willing to pay for the first night cause it was booked and canceled the same day but have been only been given the run around " manager owner not there" guy at front desk very rude not willing to help at all. Tried calling and emailing manager but till now no answer. It's not like they lost business we all ended up staying there.

Final take-away (posted first): If you have $50 more, spend it to get a better room elsewhere. |Pro: Professional, polite & efficient evening desk manager that checked us in seamlessly, directing us to our room on the second floor of Building C. The interior of this front office mirrors what you'll find in motel room. |Con: Our second floor room in Building C didn't look like the nice pictures (with soothing blue accent wall) posted on Choice Hotels web site. We would never stay here again, as none of us slept well and the rooms are not being maintained. |Pro/Con (?): Ascending stairs from parking lot, you can smell the bleach being used to clean the rooms. |Pro: Room was absolutely clean. Excellent value— can’t be beat. Staff was super friendly and prompt. Room was clean. Water was hot, and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was not bad at all either. Perfect place to stay and save money.
