Finally got a chance to be in the Reno area and had to get out on pyramid lake. Called Rob he made scheduling easy. Fished with Morgan Kane and had a great day. Caught a Summit and a pilot strain Lahontan. Beautiful fish. I was hyped living a long time wish of catching a Lahontan and Morgan was the best. He was the perfect balance of calm demeanor and locked in fishing. I would recommend Morgan Kane to anyone thinking about a trip to Pyramid Lake.

We had a fantastic experience with Pyramid Fly Co! We had one guide assigned to us who was amazing but there were three other guides in the area with clients. The guides all worked together and helped out. They were all friendly and made for a great experience. Catching some monster cutthroat was the icing on top of two great days of fishing! We will definitely return.

The boys at PFC are incredible. We didn’t know what to expect when booking, we chose this outfit based completely on an instagram post. If you want an outfit truly in tune with the fish and how they are eating, Trevor is your guy. The fishing was slow for everyone in the area besides us. He had the timing of the bite down to about 20 minutes, recognized patterns in what was catching fish vs not and changed up the wife’s rig so she could start hammering some pigs as well and we walked away catching our personal bests. Icing on the cake was lunch cooked fresh on the beach, no cold ham sandwich here! Absolutely top notch service. This may ruin future guided trips because the bar has been set so high.

I want to be clear with something. This company is absolutely fantastic! When I sent a message, Cpt. Rob was quick to respond to set up a date and explain the logistics of fishing at pyramid lake. I fished with Cole and the guy is a naturally talented fly fishermen but such a humble and kind person to talk to. I enjoyed fishing with Cole so much I fished not just once but THREE times and I am already hoping to fish with him next season. Cole and the other guides really do their homework to determine the best spot and method for going after the trout (you could be fishing from the shore, ladder or float fishing) but they know what they are doing. What a fantastic group of guides! Morgan was our guide, but all of them were super helpful and happy to help! Prior to this trip, I had never casted a Switch Rod, with their expert advice, they had me and my wife casting like pros! I would certainly recommend this guide service to anyone looking to catch some nice fish!
