I love, love, love Pride RV Resort. I’m a tent camper and have camped at Pride for the past 6 years. I love the cleanliness of the campground and courteousness of the staff. There is a putt putt golf course, basketball court, playground, swimming pool, cafe, laundry room, and event venue. The campground abuts Jonathan Creek which is deep enough for rafting, and very peaceful to camp beside. It’s located in Waynesville, NC but it’s right around the corner from Maggie Valley, about 40 minutes from Asheville to the East and Cherokee to the West. It’s also a great place to stay when planning a visit to Cataloochee Valley to see the elk.
Not flashy, but 100% complete, comfortable, and satisfying, especially in that there were many shade trees. Our campsite, as looked to be the same for virtually all of them, was mildly challenging to get our 40’ motorhome onto it and positioned well. But once done, the site was very nice. I’d absolutely stay here again.
Pride RV Resort has Park Models, Small Mobile Homes and Cabins for rent. The Resort is kept clean and is well maintained. The Staff is friendly and helpful.
We made our reservation 3 or 4 wks ahead and was very excited to hear they had one small room left with a kitchenet in it. The week before our engagement we received a phone call asking if we would mind trading our room for a larger room because someone wanted to get the room we had due to it being pet friendly which we were never told it was pet friendly so we were more than glad to say yes the young lady said they would let us have it with a bonus savings of about $100 cheaper since it was such short notice; so it seemed like a nice ex-change, full size with kitchen, king bed , bath, living room with cable TV. We were really excited about the larger space and the apartment was really nice until we started seeing all the issues. I started unpacking our clothing and items then I looked
Stayed here a week. I have a Coast to Coast membership that i paid $12,000 for but at this location, i still had to pay fees. Not sure what for. Place is as basic as they come and they have more rules than a Christian school. Says they have WiFi but could get my phone or tablet to work the whole time here. I was 4 sites from the main building. Save your money unless you like square dancing. Never again. I promise you that!!!
