They have a dog friendly room which is wonderful for someone like me who wants to take my dogs on adventures. The owners were very sweet. The gentleman chatted with me at breakfast which made my day as I felt a little lonely on my solo trip with dogs. I felt safe on the property walking around with a flashlight when I needed to take my dogs out. Very kind owners, support them by staying there if you can!
I am so glad we happed upon this charming lodge on a fall trip through the mountains. The rustic room we stayed in was very clean, cozy, warm, and inviting. Beds were very comfortable. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Fresh breakfast with homemade biscuits was exceptional.
First I’ll say this, Waynesville and western North Carolina is open for business and so needs your visit and trade!||We stayed at the Grandview for 3 nights on the tail end of a hiking trip. The owner met us on arrival and showed us to our room and made sure we were good to go. ||We found our room to be comfortable with plenty of closet (with hangers) space and chest of drawer space. The surfaces were clean and the bathroom was clean. The towels were fluffy and the bedding was very comfortable. Slept like a baby. ||Breakfast was cooked to order and included delicious local farm eggs, bacon and wonderful creamy grits. Fresh pressed apple juice from the trees on the property completed a delicious breakfast! ||There is a refrigerator in the room. No microwave. Keu
Quirky inn with the most amazing gourmet breakfast. EVERYTHING was amazing. Best meal we've had in this state. Room was clean and well stocked. Maybe small table near the plug for the phone would be nice. Lodge area seems like a great hang out spot. Lots of games, interesting crystals. Even has a piano.
The views were not remotely grand. The national chain we left to stay at which advertises no views had better ones. The room was disgusting. Not disgusting as in I don't think they cleaned after the last guest. Disgusting as in I don't think it has ever been cleaned. Vents clogged with dust and literal dirt. Dead bugs in picture frames. You could write 'clean me' back-of-car style on the furniture. The beds are spring mattress first bought in 1987. No sane human would have went a tenth as long without replacing their own long before their current condition. And the icing on the cake was when we told the owner we were leaving. Radio silence. No questions about why or could they make it right. Absolutely nothing. No response at all. There's no hidden story here. We checked in and had a
