Post Time Inn

Good location just off the main road. Pretty quiet. Comfortable bed. Room was clean but not spotless. Fairly large. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was small but decent enough. Would stay again. Good price compared to other options in the area.

Room was unfortunately not clean. Refrigerator was not cleaned and smelled so bad we couldn’t even open it without the entire room smelling. Staff were really sweet. Breakfast was not stocked, most items you couldn’t even use (no waffle mix, no bowls for cereal). There are tons of reviews saying they were going to take the same feedback and make changes- this is not the case.

AC was loud which was oddly soothing. Appreciated the comfort height toilet, bathroom appeared newly remodeled. Decor was adorbs, loved the black and white with red chair, appreciated coffee in the room, even though it was a bit meh. Breakfast was OK, helpful staff. Accommodating, oddly didn’t know a thing about Carlsbad, but no big deal. ||Minor issues and one not so minor: Shower shelf seemed to have recently broken off, so there was nowhere to put your stuff. Water pressure and temperature were fine, pro tip: you had to first bend shower head away from you before you turned it on, or you’d get soaked. We couldn’t figure out how to use the TV, either have instructions, or make it easy…||Thanks Post Time! I’m sure you’re working on it.

Upon check-in, we requested a room change because the carpet was very dirty, the air conditioner was too noisy, and the room smelled unpleasant. The receptionist was very patient and helped us change to three different rooms. The hotel includes breakfast, and considering the price of $80 per night, I think it's acceptable.

Seems like it was a nice place at one time. There were 5 hairs on my bedsheet. There is no way that they were washed after the last person stayed in the room. I ended up sleeping on the flat sheet. My friend didn't even have a flat sheet on her bed. The bathroom door was coming off of the hinges and was difficult to close. Went down for breakfast the next day and all of the tables were filthy. I would not stay here again.
