We stayed in a spacious, well-equipped condo in Shipyard. The pool, hot tub, and tennis courts were right outside the building. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach through a private gate or less than 10 min drive to Coligney. Kate, from concierge services, met us after check-in and continued to be available to us throughout the week for questions and suggestions, which was very helpful! Highly recommend.
Upon arrival we discovered no numbered parking a flight of stairs where the elevators were-not on the ground level. There were luggage carts near the elevators, but again, you still had to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs because there was no ramp or access to the elevator from the parking area. Our room smelled so musty that we had to buy a strong candle and burn it 24/7 during our stay. Within minutes of blowing it out, the smell would immediately return. It stated that our room sleeps 8, but we only had enough utencils for 6. The kitchen was so tiny it actually could only fit one person. Too small to really cook in with another person and we did eat dinner in several times. We also didn't have a large skillet to cook with. The floors were stained, the decorative pillow on the k
Could not get out to the balcony as neither door would work. Dishwasher needs to be replaced. TVs would not allow us to get national news. Very spacious, nice bathrooms.
We have been staying here the last 15 years. You cannot beat this location. Shipyard plantation is beautiful. We always stay in the stand alone cottages but have stayed in the high rise buildings also. Both are very nice but with kids, it’s great to be in your own cottage. It is a short walk to the beach through a locked gate. I saw security passing through multiple times daily. I feel extremely safe at this resort. You get 2 car passes with each reservation. No one enters the gates without one. Loads of wildlife and miles and likes of bike trails.
Nice condos! Clean and well stocked. Nice pool areas and near the beach. Now, they do all look alike so I found it difficult to find. They do offer lots of activities for the kids, breakfast at the pool one day, and Great porches!!
