Pier 4 Hotel

We had a second floor balcony room that was pleasantly decorated and was in very good condition, unlike some beach hotels. The view was good, the beds were comfortable and the pool looked nice, though we didn’t use it. I didn’t like the towels, which were thin and scratchy. The breakfast is pretty basic. There are good restaurants in the area. We’ve stayed here a few times, always in balcony rooms, and will be back.

Everything about the stay was great. My only problem is that they put a hold on my account for the security deposit and told me it would be returned is 3 to 5 days. It has been 15 days and they still have a hold on it. I have checked with my bank and they have confirmed that they have not released it as of yet. I was told they released it the day I left but that was a lie. When I asked for a written confirmation that it was released I was told that only one person could give that and she would be on vacation for another week. Be careful if you book here. You might not ever get your money back.

I’ve lived near Somers Point since I was 5 and I’ve ALWAYS passed this hotel and thought nothing about it until our power went out during a blizzard and we were looking for a home for a day until the power is fixed and we went to this place and lemme say Room 401 was a blast it was so good of a spot the only thing is that the Mattress is a spring type of mattress for some reason. Also WE LOVED DONNA AND THE MANAGER THERE WERE SO NICE Thank you guys I really appreciate your kindness.

I'm going to start my review by letting you know I wasn't an overnight room guest - I was there for a small event. I really liked the location of the hotel and when you walk in it's nautical, cozy and just smells like a beach vacation! I'd planned to talk to my family about vacationing here next summer - Until I dealt with the lady at the front desk. She was so curt and unpleasant that I completely wrote this place off. (You're in hospitality, if you can't be nice you shouldn't be at the front of the hotel.) She was rude and sarcastic to other members in our group. She was way over the top passive aggressive - she wouldn't even make eye contact when people walked into the lobby just looked down at the floor and snapped out her questions.
