Econo Lodge Somers Point

The room was clean, however it had an odd smell from the cleaner used to sanitize the room or from the room deodorizer. The hotel needed updating. None of the ice machines worked but you could get bags of ice from the front desk. Our TV didn’t work and when I pulled the hair dryer out for use the front cover fell off. It was quiet and we slept well.

I contacted the management and advised them that I have a health issue that prevents me from staying in rooms with fragrances, smoke and mold/mildew in advance to confirm that I could stay there. They assured me that they could accommodate my request. The room had a window open and the fumes were overwhelming. I had to find a different hotel and leave . They lied and charged me after saying I could check out.

I think there are a few things I need to share about this place. I recently stayed 9 days for the third, and last, year in a row. Most importantly, I guess, is the management will look you straight in the eye and lie to your face. They advertise "FREE WIFI". Do you get it? Occasionally. If you don't mind walking around the parking lot with your available networks settings open until it shows up. You connect and 10-15 minutes later, you get dropped. Then repeat above. In the first 6 days of "free wifi" I used 4g of data. With my 2g plan, it wound up costing me an extra $60 for the month. (3×$20/gb of data). Is that "FREE WIFI?", lol, absolutely not. Do they know about it? Absolutely. Was the same issue present 3 years in a row? Yes, 3 years in a row, the FREE WIFI did not work, and has not

The rooms are very clean and the beds are super comfortable. The desk managers are very kind and helpful. The cleaning staff are super helpful. Great location and a nice quiet stay. I highly recommend this econo lodge.

I recently had an extended stay here, and I was very pleased with the room. Was very quiet and no one bothered us, room was comfy and clean.
