Phoenix Park Hotel

I stayed at the Phoenix Park Hotel this past weekend and had a great experience. The staff were welcoming from the moment I arrived, and check‑in was quick and easy. My room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet given the central location. The hotel has a classic, historic charm, and you can tell it’s well cared for. Every team member I interacted with was friendly and attentive without being over the top. The location is also a huge plus—right by Union Station and an easy walk to the Capitol. Overall, a wonderful stay. I’d definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting DC.

The location is amazing, literally steps from the US Capital and very near the museums. The atmosphere was friendly the entire stay no matter who I was communicating with from valet, front desk staff, and in the restaurant. This would also include the person who helped me change the dates on my reservation. The rooms and hallways were extremely clean and the bathroom was immaculate. The noise level was an issue, not within the hotel itself but the police cars, etc in the area made it difficult to sleep, I was on the Union Station side of the building and it was a pretty busy night over there.

Good location if visiting the museums around national mall. The room is small, the bathroom is small too. It is an older building, but quite well maintained. Many reviews commented on the cleanliness so I set my expectation high, but I personally think they could do better. We had a nice stay, but next time we are visiting DC I may look for another place.

Decent Hotel. Close to everything we came to DC for. Price was not too bad. Went through Trivago to get super cheap deals. Really Friendly staff. The Dubliner restaurant on the ground floor cooks a lot of seafood, so the fish aroma permeates the entire place - if you dont mind those smells in the lobby and elevators, you should be fine. The seafood smell does not go into the rooms. The bathroom in the room did not drain quickly, so you might be in a puddle while you shower - I dont know if it is the same in other rooms, but it was the case in mine. Beware of an undisclosed "Facility fee" post your stay, for every day you stay there. Altogether, a Historic Hotel, Close to everything and friendly staff.

I normally review a Hotel after checking out, but I don't want to forget to write this review. Firstly, I came by early to drop off my bag so I could enjoy my day in DC. Shockingly, they checked me in at 11am. I'm a Front Desk clerk and this is rather unheard of. Most notably, Robin was so pleasant, efficient and helpful. She assigned me a nice room on a top floor with a view of Union Station. As a rail fan that was much appreciated. Most importantly, I'm leaving at 6am tomorrow to catch the Acela, so there is no more convenient hotel. Additionally, the price was great. Finally, I have a very large clean room. Perhaps, the decor is a little dated, but I really enjoy this place. Can't wait to use my free drink coupon at their Irish restaurant tonight. Hoping for some good food there as we
