Philadelphia Marriott Old City

I had a great stay at this property, made all the more memorable by the exceptional level of service provided by the staff. Mikal at the bar was consistently going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. The property manager, John, deserves particular recognition for his commitment to guest satisfaction his dedication to creating a welcoming environment were evident throughout my stay. Positive: I enjoyed being in Old Town Pennsylvania and so close to the water and many attractions. Negative: The Hotel Room was not very clean. The bathroom door had splatter of previous people on the door and the walls. The glass door in the bathroom was dirty, along with the bathroom counter frame was very dusty. The backsplash showed toothpaste splatter.

I recently stayed at the Old City Marriott and had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel itself is charming, with comfortable rooms, great amenities, and a prime location that’s perfect for exploring the historic area. But what really made my trip memorable was the outstanding service throughout.||The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, but I have to give special praise to the valet team, especially Zeke and W. They were exceptionally kind, efficient, and always ready with a smile, even during busy times. Whether it was handling my car quickly or offering helpful tips about the neighborhood, their attentiveness truly elevated the whole stay. Overall nice stay. The hotel is nice and updated. The lobby is super trendy. The M lounge is decent nothing too special. Only complaint is my sheets had some hair on them so I asked for them to be changed and instead they just left a set of clean linens on top of the dirty ones for me to change myself when I got back to my room at 12 am which I didn't feel like doing. Great location but staff and rooms are absolutely awful. Caution: Long review, must read. Getting to be in Old City has great walkable locations and is very convenient to get to important sites around the city. This is where it goes down hill. As soon as we got in the room it has a very weird smell that doesnt go away. The curtains don't go up or work at all, even if it was manually done. The shower curtains was dirty. There was no drawers for clothes to be stored. The mini "fridge" has no frozen section. The light switches are no where to be found unless you really look for them. There is mold and mildew on the shower curtain. This part is where the 1 star makes its debut. We had a double door in the room. Our neighbor was very loud and didn't care about being loud.
