SHAME ON YOU HILTON/PALMER HOUSE!!!|This EXACT thing happened to us!!!!!! Moe Odeh and his associates, as you are leaving, are NOT there to help you or check on your experience and stay. He is there to lie, cheat and steal to lock you into a "discounted stay". Just as Sarah shared below, many questions were asked regarding any "catch" with many reassurances that there were no obligations. We even declined the offer initially until he came back with a quick rebuttal of "I'll give you a deal, you book now at the discounted rate, 500 reward points, no stings or obligations attached". So we agreed and now are being given the run around by Hilton.||Sarah Little Review"However, this last trip, I took extreme issue with an experience I had with one of the employees. As many have shared, the Palmer House is a historic gem for the city of Chicago. The staff is phenomenal (Miss Rose and Gorge in Lockhart restaurant for breakfast, Shaq at front desk). The common spaces have maintained the luxurious illusion of the past while integrating modern amenities and style. It has the WOW factor! However, the rooms give the opposite reaction; a “bait and switch” marketing tactic feeling. We upgraded to a deluxe king located on the Executive floor (express elevator access to limited floors but anyone with a key can get to the executive floor). It was not worth it!!! They have discontinued the executive perks - NO executive breakfast, snacks, happy hour, exclusive lounge. The meal credit doesn’t cover a breakfast sandwich (which was 😋) In comparison to other

I fell in love with this hotel! It made a quick trip to Chicago with friends seem like a special occasion. The lobby is gorgeous and we enjoyed hanging out at the tables in the mezzanine which, surprisingly, were always empty. We reserved two king rooms and the layout was very different between the two. Mine (18212, pictured) had a dresser with a TV on top and a cabinet for the fridge and minibar, as well as a desk and bedside table. Their room (18211) was a bit smaller and had no dresser, the TV was on the wall, and the mini bar and fridge were just sitting randomly on the floor. An interesting quirk but not a detriment. Both rooms faced the interior courtyard and were very quiet. No street noise or sirens at all. The interior doors in the room are the old heavy wooden doors and still hav

Excellent location with access to red and blue lines and bus networks. And in the centre of the city. A character building with spectacular internal decor. Especially popular with conferences. Room was spacious and included two doubles with usual amenities though we did have to ask for a kettle. Staff very friendly and check in was seamless despite being busy. Two niggles included a $25 daily fee that could be offset by discounts in various parts of the hotel. Though for us it was a tax as we did not want the discounted services. Also cleaning services invariably wanted to service the room when we were in it. Attempts to renegotiate cleaning times did not work and in the end we timed our absence from the room to when cleaners would want to clean room. A very good experience for us neverthe

Coming to this hotel you need to have an open mind. It is beautiful, but it is old... It is historic, which captured my heart. The stories, the building, the vibes I loved it! Because it's an old building people need to be aware the wall paper may not stick to the walls as well,.the ventilation in the bathrooms may not be so great so paint peels. None of that stuff bothered me. The thing that bothered me most was there was NO coffee maker and no microwave and having a baby makes that a little tough or they will charge you an additional $50.00 per day to have one. Well... That would have been $200.00 more, definitely not worth it. The hotel is in the middle of everything, so close to anything u want to see or do. The staff are so very very very friendly, the atmosphere is like walking int
