Paintbrush Motel

The website says clean and cozy, absolutely not. This was far from clean and cozy. There was hair on the bedsheets, they had not been changed, the bedsheets were ripped and had cigarette burn holes in the pillowcases. The edges of the carpet were dusty, hairy, and layered with dirt. The bathtubs have a stick in bathmat that cannot be removed so it was dingy gray moldy and gross. The bathtub did not drain and so you were standing in 3 inches of hairy water. The curtain on the window was being held up by a plastic clamp clothes hanger. The front desk check in person did not speak English, so very hard to communicate with him. if I could give this motel negative stars, I would. If there are health codes or star ratings for motels, this motel failed on every level.

This place was better than I expected. I was definitely pleasantly surprised. Clean and cozy. Nothing fancy but great for the price.

Booked and paid for but upon arrival was told it was fully booked. Front desk couldn’t speak much English who put me on the phone to someone else, who confirmed that they could in fact see that I had made a payment. I was told I would receive a refund which I haven’t received now 2 weeks on, have had to make a dispute with my bank.

Air quality suffered from an old A/C unit / bad filter and the washcloths and towels were disgusting (stained with makeup, and shoe polish), or just blackened gray. Only two towel items were even close to being white. Soaps and shower toiletries were plentiful and neat, but I had to dry hands with tissues and couldn't shower.

How is this place rated an 8. Sleazy old hotel. There are plenty of 2 stars i have stayed over the years that were better. Check out is at 10. We weren’t aware of this. Owner pushing an old shopping cart around for cleaning
