Pacific Ohana Hostel

Kind of run down a bit in the bathroom and room was ok. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location.

This hostel is passing for some constructions and modifications. They are improving a lot for the guests. Free fast wi-fi, that works on entire building. Housekeeping runs everyday that keeps the rooms tidy and clean. Roommates are very nice and friendly. On the ground floor you will find space for parking, and a good open area for guests, smoking or non smoking. Anytime you need help from the staff you can have it, therefore the front desk is not 24 hours. A 35 dollar key deposit is necessary. There is also coin laundry. Showers are very good, and the bathrooms clean. Kitchen is fully equipped.||I only missed a swimming pool, then considering the cleanliness of the hostel it would be complete.

I stayed one night. It was without reservation. They insist in taking cash for the deposit (as much as the bed), but they'll take card for the bed itself. They mix long-term and short-term occupants. I ended up in a room that was obviously predominantly long-term. The bathroom was a mess and in disrepair - I was given special instructions on using the water handle so it wouldn't fall off. Unlike the Polynesian Hostel up the block, folks were up, moving around, talking, and partying until at least midnight despite having posted quiet hours at 10PM. It may be a small touch, but I appreciated it a lot in other hostels. The beds here didn't have any kind of protective cover aside from the sheets they issue. Without a doubt the filthiest conditions I ever attempted to stay at. I say attempted. After letting my phone charge for an hr..I made a reservation elsewhere. Upon leaving I even told the manager on duty why I was leaving. He didn't care. Disgusting establishment..ypu have been warned people.

For 36 bucks a night, you can't go wrong. Extremely close to the beach and amenities. I stayed in a four bed room with a large kitchenette that includes fridge and microwave and utensils. decent bathroom with shower. The bed was clean with clean linens provided. The only things I didn't like, were the wifi didn't work, and the office doesn't open until 9am, so you can't check out earlier than that. but other than that, it was a comfortable stay for really cheap.
