Pacific Monarch Hotel

The place was so convenient and near to beach. Room is very nice it has an ocean view. Recommend this for future trips!!

Pacific Monarch is in a perfect, central location within walking distance to everything in Waikiki, and easy public transit is nearby to Honolulu, Diamond Head and the waterfalls. You don't need a car staying here. The kitchen in the suite was awesome! We shopped for our family and didn't need to spend money on takeout or waste time sitting in breakfast cafes. The hot tub is the perfect temperature, the balcony dried out our wet things nicely, and the suite itself was big enough for four adults to sleep comfortably. The corner rooms have the biggest balconies. There is a smoking area tucked away outside where smokers won't bother anyone. This hotel was perfect for our budget and all our family's needs. Just make sure to get a room above the twelfth floor if you want to have a view

Quite shocked at the good reviews this hotel got. I guess people are not bothered by dirt to give such high reviews? Where to start… bathroom smells like pee constantly. Looked around the toilet and noticed they only superficially clean the toilet bowl but not around the toilet. There’s caked up pee or something on the side/bottom of the toilet bowl that smells atrocious (see pictures). Shower is moldy and does not drain properly. By the time you’re done showering the water is standing to your ankles. The walls, curtains, chairs are all disgustingly dirty. No one washes these. The patio windows have not been washed for months. My wife and I stayed in unit #3207 at the Pacific Monarch hotel in Waikiki for 3 weeks. We have stayed in Waikiki many times before so I feel confident regarding my assessment of the hotel and the unit we stayed in.|First off the Pacific Monarch is ideally located in Waikiki. The hotel is close to the beach (5 minute walk) there is easy access to the main street of Waikiki (Kalakaua) with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. The hotel has a lovely, recently renovated rooftop pool and hot tub area along with various other amenities including barbecues. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Not the worst hotel. My main complaint is I booked a room for 4 only to find out that I got a room for 3. The pull out sofa was out of order after I got there so there was one person to go without? They're accommodating and brought a cot and blankets so that's something but it's not very comfy nor what I booked. They're very clear about the parking not being owned by them and the slightest infraction could get you towed, it really sucks you have to go through a third party as online they offer on site parking but it's really a third party.
