OYO Hotel Greensboro NC Northeast

Only thing nice about this hotel is the location as it’s convenient to 85. But the service was horrible. I booked online for a non smoking room. I get to the hotel and check in and they give me a room, well I go to the room and I have a lady that’s already in the room cussing me out telling me I’ve got the wrong room. Which it wasn’t as it was the number on my key card the front desk gave me. Then I go back to the front desk and the staff member tells me she can’t put me on a bottom level in the non smoking section since she only has upper levels available and I have a bad foot and can not walk up the stairs. She also then tells me she can put me in a smoking room which would kill me due to having asthma and the smoking/smell will send me into an asthma attack. So I told her to cancel the

Situated in what they describe as 'a prime location in the center of Greensboro, NC (actually about 4 miles outside it) lies the Apes, sorry Oaks Motel. A city we visited solely to stalk a reality TV star, who has much to answer for. ||A place where your initial excitement at being told you've been upgraded to the best room they have soon turns to horror when you realise it's located right amongst the permanent residents including prostitutes and trustees of modern chemistry. ||My concerns began upon seeing the zombie-like faces pressed against their windows as we unloaded the car and were only made worse by the smell of urine in our doorway. We would later learn that the real reason we got the 'better' room was because it was probably the only one not infested with roaches and bed bugs.

I made the reservation online and thought that everything was copacetic. I got there only to be turned away. I had to leave with my stuff and my son and boyfriend after already paying. False advertising will get you every time. I got my money back in 10 days. The place wasn't nice at all and the people hanging outside like it was a club. Totally low grade. The owner wasn't nice. Thank God, we got to go to Econo Lodge in Greensboro. I wouldn't recommend this place for a enemy, let alone a friend!!!!

I stayed at the Oaks Motel for 3 nights. The Maid service was excellent. You can walk to allot of eating places if you prefer. The Manager was real friendly and was very pleasant to talk to. The room had 2 sinks, it was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. You can't beat the prices for the rooms that are at the Motel. I would definitely stay again.

When we arrived the AC was not working but they did replace it quickly. Motel is being renovated and there is a lot of trash and broken glass in the parking lot and grass in front of rooms. Bathroom exhaust fan did not work. There was dried plaster stuck to the bottom of the tub that was painful to step on. Tub drained very very slowly. Everything was dirty; floor needed to be mopped, closet shelf had dirt and leaves on it.
