Courtyard by Marriott Panama City

For hotels this one is really nice. Super clean and updated rooms. Nice onsite bar restaurant. Would stay here again when business brings me back to town.

Staff was super friendly during check-in. I just found this spot to be … audaciously priced on all counts. There are a number of newer/cleaner options nearby for much cheaper. $10 for a water and a pack of m&m’s is robbery. I live in NYC and wouldn’t expect to pay that at the airport. If you charge those prices, there should be some contextual reason. There is no water pressure at all. It took about five minutes for the hot water to start coming through. Next door, the TownePlace suites (also Marriott) looks nicer and incudes breakfast.

Positive: I loved the location of the hotel. It was close to the beach (20 mins) and close to plenty of restaurants & shopping. Negative: The elevator was out of service during my stay and the manager did comp the parking for the inconvenience

Great experience. Helpful staff, quiet and clean. The costs were what you would expect for a Courtyard property. You don’t go to a courtyard expecting free breakfast. This property was under $100 for the night at this point in the season and was a very relaxing stay with a comfortable bed, fridge, microwave and coffee station in the room.

Staff was pleasant. The room smelled like cigarettes and we were told the hotel was booked and we couldn't change rooms. A dirty pillow was left on the floor in the corner and the shower curtain has mold. The slider door for the balcony would not lock. Nice hotel but they need to do some work to keep it clean. Also, for the price they charge, some type of breakfast should be included.
