Olde Marco Island Inn & Suites

We chose this Inn for its proximity to the Hemingway shuttle at Rose Marina, and spent two days taking the shuttle to Keewaydin Island for shelling, and one day shelling on Marco beaches. The "deluxe water view" condo style unit itself was spacious and updated. We enjoyed having the kitchen and two bedrooms and bathrooms. We walked to Snook Inn for dinner the first night.||But we were expecting a "water view" from our unit and were very disappointed, seeing mostly rusty tin roof during the day, and bright lights of nearby building at night. Also the pool area and grounds were in sad shape. The hot tub was not functioning. The pool was okay but greenish; I only swam once and my two friends would not try it. Our room was spotless, well maintained, and very comfortable, with thoughtful touches that showed real attention to detail.||The staff deserves special recognition. Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to help. We had a wonderful experience here. The employees were extremely nice and welcoming, which made our stay even better. The hotel was very clean, and all the amenities were in good condition and worked well. There are many great restaurants within walking distance, which was very convenient. The internet was fast and reliable, and free parking was a big plus. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

Positive: Size of the condo Negative: Elevator would drop and then pause before continuing to our floor. I reported to the staff and she said it?s probably the magnet. It occurred every time to the point I stopped using the elevator and climbed the 4 floors to our room.

It's right in the heart of Olde Marco, within walking distance to local shops, restaurants, and some beautiful views of the water. It felt peaceful but still close to all the action, which was perfect for a relaxing vacation.
