Obviously, the location can't be beat. Our unit was right at the Solitude Day Lodge with the Solitude Express Quad lift right outside our door. We stayed in a 1 bedroom unit on the 2nd floor with a dedicated ski locker right down the corridor. The unit itself was very clean (with the exception of the shower curtain, which was very gross and moldy), and the king bed was actually pretty comfy. However, to say that the unit as a whole was outdated is an understatement. It was literally stuck in 1980. While the kitchen appliances were updated, there was funky colored tired carpeting and floral wallpaper everywhere, uncomfortable and dated furniture, an old television in a cabinet, no coffeemaker for pods, no USB ports, lamps that didn't work, and an excess of light switches that never seemed t

Just over 4 hours from NYC but a good distance to get away for a long weekend from the city crowds. Echo Lake Inn was a great retreat, just 10 minutes drive away. Friendly staff and quaint rooms. Loved it.

Aside from the prices being astronomical. The resort is great. Trails for all levels of skiers/boarders. Ski patrol is great and very friendly (as long as you are). Views are amazing for east coast skiing. Prices are rough but I will absolutely be back.

Overall, my experience at Okemo Mountain Resort was excellent up until the very end of my trip. The slopes were well maintained, the environment was comfortable, and throughout most of my stay the staff were friendly and professional. It was shaping up to be a nearly perfect ski experience. Unfortunately, an incident on my final day significantly impacted my overall impression. Near the end of the day, I realized that I had lost my lift pass, most likely during a fall earlier while skiing. I approached the Solitude Express Quad, as I only needed to ride up once in order to ski back down to the Clock Tower and return to my starting point. I calmly and politely explained the situation to the two lift attendants on duty, Kathy and Don, hoping for some understanding given the circumstances.

This is a review for the ski mountain not the hotel. Long lines. Understaffed. Overcrowded. Long wait at ski lifts, restaurants, rentals. They don’t pick phones after 4pm or so. Came here after more than a decade. Used to love it. Epic pass destroyed it. People here are nice but it’s not worth coming to on a weekend. Maybe weekdays are better.
