I was nervous about staying here based on the reviews, however the price in this area was very affordable. As this area is considered the best in Honolulu as it is walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shopping areas. I stayed here at this hotel for 10 days and everything went well. The room was well put together, beds were comfortable, AC worked, water pressure in the shower was wonderful and the view from my balcony on the 15th floor was amazing. WiFi worked well and it was a plus having the stove, refrigerator and coffee maker. Because of the reviews that I had previously read about this hotel having bugs, I brought my own spray and sprayed the room before unpacking and I had no issues with bugs. I also wiped and sanitized everything in the room, it was a little dusty but for
Positive: There was a FAN in the closet!!!! Great location, friendly and helpful staff, great sized balcony with chairs and huge sliding door. Negative: the room was okay. mattress was super comfy and the beds were great. appliances and the bathroom were old and there was no microwave. You could tell the walls were super thin but we didn't hear any other guests around us.
The location is perfect. Located in the heart of Waikiki and everything is easily accessible. I didn't need parking, but they do have parking available and a valet. There is a resort fee. It was $72 for two days. I was only aware of this in advance after reading the fine print on Priceline. ||||The entire hotel is dated. That isn't necessarily an issue. The concern is it is not well maintained. Dirty wall paper in the entry, things pieced together from previous repairs. Phone in guest room did not work when needed. Front desk was aware and made no attempt to repair. There is no thermostat in the room. There is a knob on the wall to adjust the fan. Overall, the room was clean. The curtains are very old and dirty. They smell awful and need to be washed or replaced. The bed was clean and comf
I was very disappointed with our stay at Ohia Hotel Waikiki. I wasn’t expecting luxury service since this is advertised as a more affordable option, but basic cleanliness and upkeep should still be a given. Our room had multiple issues. The shower water was rarely warm — most of the time it was lukewarm or cold. The room also included a “kitchen,” but it wasn’t actually usable. There were no pots, pans, or baking sheets, no microwave, and the Keurig machine didn’t work. Cleanliness was a major concern. We saw three cockroaches in the room, even after the hotel sprayed. The room itself was dusty, and it was clear the property isn’t well maintained — the curtains in our room were literally duct taped together. We also discovered old, rotten food under the dresser, which likely explains the
We recently stayed here and unfortunately the experience didn’t match the price point. While the location is excellent and the staff we encountered were genuinely kind and helpful, the condition of the room was very disappointing. The room felt extremely run down and not well maintained. There was no hot water during our stay, the TV didn’t work, and the shower had hair left in it from a previous guest. The room also had a musty smell, the pillows were thin and worn, and the bed only had sheets for covering. Overall, it felt closer to a budget motel experience than a hotel in the mid/upper hundreds for price range. The photos shown on their Instagram page were also not an accurate reflection of what we experienced in person. The guests staying were a mix of families, solo travelers, and
