Ocean Villas II

This place use to be good and well kept. After Hurricane Isabel, it's been in a nosedive and just never recovered. Really started going downhill beforehand when the hot tub facility was removed in all honesty. Closed down due to structural damage and I'd imagine very unlikely to reopen. Sad to see it go, but glad it's out of its misery. Edit: Amenities states there's a pool, there's been no pool on site since 2001. They'll give you passes to the local YMCA to access their pools and gym.

The worst place I have ever stayed coming to the outer banks. Very run down and dirty. They get you by saying they have done all these renovations however new flooring and a new couch cannot cover up the numerous concerns. - The office attendant was rude when asking to check in. We paid for early check in and she flat out said, I’m not doing it right now. - When we did make it to our room, the first thing we see when we pull around to our space is a long broken off piece of gutter right there in front of our room stairs. - very dirty, could barely see out the sliding glass doors. I had to clean those myself just so I could try and enjoy the DUNE VIEW. Dusty base boards, scared to use the tub with the mold and the overall appearance being so poor. - There is a strong aroma of mildew, in one

This is a really nice place to stay. The place has been updated and furnished nicely. We stayed in the building behind the oceanfront one(our dates didn't have oceanfront available) but we had a huge balcony all around the condo and could see the ocean from there. Everything was very nice and cared for well. You may want to have bottled water, though, because the water in the spigot is pretty alkaline.

Great week! The new living room furniture and floors throughout made the unit look new and was extremely comfortable. The check-in experience was awesome! Great place to stay! Definitely looking forward to next year!

The ocean views are beautiful and it is so easy to get to the beach. The condo is clean, with a nice size kitchen, patio & living space. There is a washer/dryer in the unit. Having the linens provided was convenient. The YMCA passes are a huge plus.
