My daughter and I stayed there this past weekend and had a wonderful time! Absolutely beautiful , very cozy, clean, and homey place right on the beach. Hope to return!

On the plus side it's right at the beach front. Don't be fooled, it's a old Pig they have tried to put lipstick on for years. No dishwasher, washer & dryer and dial up speed internet service. Interiors are old and run down. Don't get me started on the Beyond wore out mattresses! Definitely will never stay here again.

Another amazing stay at JP Cottages. We have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. The cottages are clean, comfortable, well stocked and in the perfect location. You are on the beach, close to all the attractions from Manteo to Kill Devil Hills but not in the noise. The beach is never crowded and access is at your front door. Pat and her daughter are both the kindest and most caring people you could hope for, they made sure we were ok and had all we needed. Most definitely our go to for a perfect OBX vacation.

Sadly, Definitely Not the relaxing getaway we were hoping for. |The room was definitely “Tired”. The damp smell was strong when entering the closed in porch area but dissipated once inside except for the bathrooms which do not have fans. The shower head was black with mold. There is little breeze when the window is open due to the building which stands in between the building we were staying in and the ocean, even tho they call it an Ocean Front room. |We were unexpectedly moved one hour before check in from the room we actually booked that was indeed Ocean Front to what I consider to be an Ocean View room due to the building standing between and within feet of our building and the Ocean although there is a decent View of the ocean from the side deck. Updated review - Stayed at cottage 6 (4BR, 2BA) and it was incredible. What a fantastic, comfortable, and roomy cottage! The walk to the beach is about 100', which was great. It definitely didn't feel like a vacation rental. It was like staying at a family member's house. It just felt right. The bedrooms were perfect - 2 bedrooms have queen beds and the other two have 2 twin beds in them. Great great great setup for 4 adults and 4 kids. And the bathroom locations were exactly where they should be in relation to the rest of the house. Definitely very impressed by this cottage, and hope to get in there next summer!
