Oak Woods Lodge Unit 7

Our stay at Oak Woods Lodge was one of the best family vacations we've ever had! The condo was clean and cozy and the hostess, Cynthia, was super friendly and helpful--anything we needed, she was on it! Even told our kiddos funny jokes. :) It's a nice, quiet location (we were probably the loudest ones there), surrounded by tall trees and--my favorite part--just a short walk from the library, the beach, and the resale shop! We walked right down the street to watch the sunset and it was close enough to walk to the main street and shops without having to stay right in the middle of town. We barbecued chicken out on the big deck and enjoyed the games, doughnuts, and travel suggestions in the community room too. A wonderful place to stay, and we'll be back for sure! We have loved our stay at Oak Woods Lodge. The two bedroom, one bath condo was very clean with basic amenities and small kitchen. Quiet, kid-friendly place walking distance to downtown BI.

We were totally pleased with our stay here. It was wonderful to have a cute little condo like this to stay at. We loved the kitchenette. This place is well kept and clean. We slept so soundly as it was so quiet there in the woods. It is near town (we rode our bikes) for food and sight seeing, groceries, the beach, and walks. The manager, Cynthia, was so nice and helpful. She'll pick you up at the ferry dock and take you there when you have to leave. Also, she will take you into town to get groceries if you need them and don't have your car. She really made our stay enjoyable. We loved sitting on the deck relaxing. The grounds are nicely landscaped with flower beds and hardwoods. It's a short walking distance to the northern beach area and the Beaver Island Lodge Restaurant. We are definite

Cynthia was a wonderful and fun host in all respects. She went out of her way to pick us up at the airport (twice! due to a miscommunication.) She then gave us heaps of information about the island, from sunset spots to beaches to kayaking and places to eat. We had a wonderful BBQ on the massive and well equipped deck. The apartment was perfect - clean, had everything you need. Internet was great. The lodge is far enough away from town to give you the peace and tranquility that you want, but close enough to walk to easily. Couldn't ask for more - thanks Cynthia it was fun!

Let us tell you, Cynthia was the BEST hostess EVeR!!! She made sure we were comfortable, provided great tips around the island and was so sweet to our 2 yo son. She provided him bubbles and games! All he wanted to do was say her name! Lol. Anyways, she kept the place clean and paid attention to details. The lodge was safe and relaxing we kept our doors unlock and windows open!
