Oak Flat Campground

Nice place, large sites, clean bathroom and nice river access. However, the one lane drive into the campground is not fun! We meet a full size truck on the way out and if I hadn’t folded in the mirrors we wouldn’t have fit! We have a Dodge Promaster van. It was hot when we were here (97) so we took a trip to Gold Beach about 35 miles away.

Basic campground with pit toilet, local garbage. Great for swimming.

Nice campground at the end of Oak Flat Rd. Nice sites. All dry camping,no hookups. No water or sewer. Definitely primitive camping. A bit of a job to get there but it is nice. There's nine sites I believe. Run by the Forest Service. The road up from Gold Beach is rough and the one going down to the campground is worse so be prepared if you decide to go. I believe it's first come first served so if it's full you might find something along the Roque nearby. Nice place but be prepared for no amenities. Tents and smaller RVs, a bit rough to get a large trailer down there unless you're experienced.

Great campground with plenty of privacy and large spots for groups. Agree with other’s comments about the road in…very narrow in spots for a large trailer.
