Half Moon Bar Lodge

One of our favorite lodges on the Rogue River. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the food is amazing. Mike and his crew are some of the friendliest, most down-to-earth people you’ll meet. Being there truly feels like a moment in time. My kids never want to leave whenever we visit.

I want to go back!!!! My favourite quiet time was gently swaying in the hammock which was slung between the trees in the large vegetable garden. Food from this vegetable garden is transformed by the most excellent chef for the gourmet family-style meal in the evening and included in the sumptious breakfast in the morning. Our meals were cooked from scratch and with love. There were snacks from 5pm, soft drinks in the cooler, an amazing cocktail bar (truly delicious according to my fellow guests), and the story-telling and welcome by owner Mike, his staff, and Roma the lovable dog, are not to be missed. My Husband and I were on a river trip.we had decided to walk up to check out to see if they welcomed rafters. We were greeted by John, he had offered us a big glass of ice water and welcomed us in. My husband had a shot of best whiskey and he made me a iced flavor coffee. The owner Mike Ross introduced himself and let us know that we were welcomed anytime before 3 pm which at 3 pm they start serving their guest. What an Amazing place !! On our way out they gave me a homemade cookie and it was delicious!! My new place to stop and have a drink after running Blossom Bar to celebrate!! Thank you Half Moon Lodge ❤️

We stayed at Half Moon Bar Lodge on the Rogue River as part of a four day rafting trip. We stayed at three different lodges on the Rogue river and Half Moon Bar was without a doudt the best. The entire lodge has been updated while still maintaing its historical charm. Thank you to Mike, Ben, Michelle and especially Bernie for an amazing time. We were treated with nothing but love and kindness. The food and cocktails were amazing. The beds were very comfortable and the lodge is just so beautiful. I can only hope to one day return.

Heroes get remembered, but legends never die. Thank you for an epic 12 hours, Mike. After 25 miles stand up paddle boarding the river, we arrived weary at sunset. We were greeted by Mike, the owner, and upgraded into two beautiful private cabins. After a quick shower, we had a top dinner of the year, which tops Michelin starred restaurants in New York. Thank you Bernie for the brilliant meal, perfect cocktails, and … risqué … performance. The unreasonable hospitality continued in the morning with a brilliant breakfast, packed “boys lunch” for the river, and proper farewell from the legend himself. This place is hard to get to… and that’s what makes it magic and worth the trek. 100/100.
