Lucas Lodge

Its perfect. Its a very peaceful place to connect with nature. The room had a fireplace that was perfect for the cold rainy nights. The cabin had plenty of hot water. We have a perfect view of the river. It was the best atmosphere to relax, read, and enjoy some peace. Jen was a fantastic host. She is great at making sure you feel like family. She took care of us even though we went during off season.

My daughter and her fiance decided to have their wedding at Lucas Lodge. The guest list included 75 people. Jen and Bobby D who manage this historic family owned lodge treated us to an amazing wedding weekend! The cabins were darling and clean. The beds very comfortable and new. The meals including street tacos the first night, a wonderful mothers day brunch the next day, followed by a dinner of Jens famous fried chicken and mashed potatoes were excellent. The wedding /family reunion was incredibly fun with Bobby D making a home made "slip and slide" which amused both children and adults on a warm May afternoon. The river and property are unsurpassed in its beauty. If you are looking for a super place to have a family reunion or wedding, this is the perfect spot. Driving into Lucas

An unforgettable riverside retreat along the magical Rogue River. The rooms are clean, well appointed, and the shower had plenty of hot water after a long day of fishing. Jen (6th generation owner from the Lucas family) is an incredible chef and an even nicer host. We honestly felt like regulars, even though it was our first time there. Can't wait to return!

Jen and Bobby make Lucas an added amazing experience. The lodge truly has character and insurmountable amounts of history. The property alone you can get lost on (in a good way) and is kid friendly too right next door to a playground. A short walk to the river which sits on great fishing water this place is hard to beat! Jen’s hospitality and homemade cooking specifically we will be coming back for. No doubt a hidden gem of Oregon if you haven’t been you should put it on your list of places to stay!

I recently stayed at Lucas Lodge with a group of friends on a winter steelhead/reunion fishing trip. I can not say enough good things about this rustic lodge and the family feeling that Jen and Bobby create. The food is amazing, the setting is incredible and the hospitality is off the charts. I can't wait to go back next year. A special call out to Jen for always creating a diabetic friendly desert for me ;-). Thank you both for a wonderful time, you will see me next year for sure!
