North Country Lodge

1st time staying here...we were really impressed! VERY clean! At least the room we were in (114). Comfy beds. Was nice to sit out on the balcony last night, & watch cars go by. Lol... But..got us outta the room for awhile, sitting outside with a cocktail 😊😋 The owners are awesome! Very friendly, & attentive! Would highly recommend this place!

The fire pit and picnic area are a nice touch.|I've got to say that the owner is very kind, and friendly. After reading some of the others reviews, all I can guess when they say that the owner was rude is that they're talking about the current owner's late husband. All reports are that he was an (expletive deleted).

Take into consideration that this is a privately owned motel at a budget price. Most importantly it was clean. No concerns about bed bugs, comfortable walking around barefoot and the linens were fresh. In fact the towels get an A++ as they were soft, fluffy and white! The fridge/microwave was also clean. We stayed on the top floor of the back building and it was quiet! The room was very large, if you care about that, and the air conditioner was quiet. There is also a ceiling fan. The staff was also easy to work with. The room was outdated as expected and even though the bed was firm and we could not feel springs (I prefer soft/plush) the real down fall was that at 5"1" when I used a second pillow my feet poked off the bottom of the bed.

We had a jacuzzi tub room and we were very happy with our room. Very clean and spacious, nice to have room to really relax. Comfortable table and chairs but the bed was a bit stiff. The jacuzzi tub makes everything better though. Towels were plentiful and fluffy and sheets were soft. Looking forward to returning!

Super friendly staff!!! And great room!!! Was on family vacation and never been here before and the staff went above and beyond their way and spent plenty of time telling us of some great places to go and see during our stay. They seen us later coming back and took the time out and asked if we checked out some of the places they recommended. Even had coffee in the morning and brought down some extra blankets for the kids without us even asking because they overheard our son saying he hopes they have a soft blanket... great place and will always comeback here again!!
