North Cascades Mountain Hostel

Modern and well-appointed hostel - clean, cosy and comfortable. Very welcoming common area, modern kitchen and dining area, and extremely comfortable bed. Just a quick one block walk to shops and dining too. Will definitely stay here again any time I am visiting the beautiful Methow Valley.

I absolutely loved my stay at the North Cascades Mountain Hostel. I’ve stayed at over a hundred hostels around the world, and this one is truly a gem — clean, modern, and full of heart. The location couldn’t be better, just a block from downtown Winthrop yet peaceful and surrounded by mountain charm. I came as a solo traveler planning to stay one night in the dorms and ended up staying four, meeting three other solo travelers who have become lifelong friends. The shared kitchen and common areas are beautifully designed to bring people together, the kind of space where you naturally find yourself swapping stories with new friends from all over. This was the best hostel I ever stayed at and i met some friends that i made lifelong connections with. Amazing people. It was spotless. So clean, such a good welcoming environment. Many activities to do nearby. I have not stopped recommending this place. Made some fantastic memories in Winthrop

The perfect hostel - with a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. Beautifully designed main building that is spacious and impeccably clean. The upstairs balcony is a lovely space to sit and read or chat. The owners are friendly and happy to help with local suggestions.

Brand new and gorgeous. I stayed in a private room on the second floor. There are 3 rooms that share 2 bathrooms and neither were occupied during my stay. Restrooms were spotless - love the heater! The living room is super cozy with lots of local info. Beautiful kitchen with tons of storage space. I'm 50 years old and still love staying in hostels to meet fellow travelers. I do the annual "larch march" to the North Cascades from Seattle - this is a wonderful spot to break up the trip. Hot tip - make the whole loop taking highway 97 back.
