Newport Beach Hotel

My heavens was this just the most excellent choice. I have been adamant about a little jaunt down to CA monthly or close to that and have been trying different spots. I didn’t really have any expectations, just wanted to be as close to the water. From the minute we walked in to check in, they had everything ready, they were so above and beyond explaining all the amenities with snacks 24/7 available in lobby (I’m a girl that’s traveled enough, a sundry is really a requirement) they have all things needed for the beach from towels, chairs, umbrellas, sand castle kits, etc etc no need to rent them, just there. They had puzzles and games and such an home feeling inside the lobby. On top of all of this was an upgraded room to a suite which was like having an entire house. Very clean and comfor

I was just needing a little stay-cation, to refresh from the holiday grind. I got the oceanfront spa room, and oh man, it far exceeded my expectations!! The most beautiful room, with the most spectacular view! Holy cow!! Friendly, helpful staff, that i enjoyed chatting with. So personable, and accommodating!

Positive: The hotel is right at the beach. It is very convenient. Negative: The room is a bit small.

location is amazing! But after that, it's down hill. We were so excited to finally be able to visit CA and stay oceanside. No where in booking or on the reviews does it mention ANYTHING about the oceanfront rooms being directly above a nightclub. If I were 20 yo, this would not be an issue, although at 20 I could not afford the price of this particular room. The bar/nightclub went until 2am, floors and windows vibrating with the beat, the thin single pane windows made it feel like I was sitting barside. It was so loud I could not even sleep without earplugs and 2 pillows over my head. When I mentioned to the front desk they said "oh yea, you must be in room 101." Obviously I was not the first to have this issue. However, I was told the hotel was full so there were no other options, b

Location alone is 5 stars. The rooms can be a hodge-podge but it’s an old historic hotel. It’s not the latest and greatest. So keep that in mind if you’re looking for polish. That being said, the rooms are clean, they smell nice. Beds are comfortable. Free snacks and the breakfast is fruit, yogurt and toast selections. If you want a heavier meal then just take a short walk and you can find anything you want to eat. I’d happily stay here again for the location. The front desk was also helpful and reactive. Shout out to Hunter for doing a great job there.
