Nevada City Inn

Please DO NOT BOOK HERE. The photos are not up to date, read reviews on Yelp to see the most up to date photos. My family and I booked a stay here because it was convenient and we were visiting Nevada City for the holidays. This place is rundown and unsanitary. We booked cottage #25 for our stay and there was urine on the couch, there was mold growing in the coffee pot, lace curtains for the windows, the walls had a ton of drywall patches and holes, and it did not look well kept. Also DO NOT book with a third party. Booking.com will not refund you and they will tell you to work it out with the property and the property will ignore and not respond to your messages at all.

When we saw the room we would have gone elsewhere but did not have time. At least the sheets looked clean or we would have just gone all the way back home. My husband booked it based on the photos (and price) but had not read the reviews. Lesson learned!

Positive: The grounds are cute. Well, used to cute. Negative: Filthy. Holes in the floor. The toilet wobbles.

What a dump!! 1 star is too generous for this place. Pinesol doesn't mask the filth of the cottage they tried to give us. Mini blinds broken, no heat, dirty walls, whole in the wall. No way we were going to stay there. Beware of ever booking through a third party. We couldn't get a refund.

I have nothing nice to say. Seems to be a small private owned inn that needs a lot of TLC. a lot. This is one of the two rooms my family stayed in. My mom had booked two two-bedroom rooms for us to all it and there was a lot of question whether or not we should leave. We were planning for both pull out beds to be used but as you can see one of the mattresses was completely filthy not to mention the couches in both rooms were saturated in the smell of urine. The heater was broken in one cabin. Front desk was ind and had space heaters to lend out as most the pilots apparently don't work. There was quite a bit of poop and litter around the grounds in front of the cabins. Would not stay here again nor would I recommend anyone stay here. The staff was kind and they are in a nice halfway spot b
