Broad Street Inn

We stayed here during Victorian Christmas. The location is perfect for walking downtown. The room we had was cozy, clean and comfortable. But it was also quiet, which we need as my husband has problems sleeping. I understand it was the smallest room, but plenty of space for us. There is a patio with coffee and snacks - the coffee was some of the best I’ve had. The owners were nice and accommodating. We will be back.

We took a weekend trip and had the loveliest time staying at the Broad Street Inn. Julie and Ron, the owners/hosts, were the friendliest folks you could ever imagine, offering a ton of local recommendations and thoughtful touches that made our stay feel really special. (For example - I noted that it was a surprise trip for my partner, so they held off on calling me when it looked like we might be running late.) The room was comfy, the backyard was sun-drenched and gorgeous, and we were within easy walking distance of everything we could possibly want to visit in town. (Plus, Ron makes really incredible biscotti! Make sure you grab some.) We're already planning our next trip back.

Broad Street Inn is more charming than the pictures can portray, a story book experience. Host and Hostess are an incredible team, special people that we would choose as close friends if we lived in this town. Ambiance in sitting room (lobby) is beautifully time period Victorian. Lush grounds with greenery, more than the eye can take in with loveliness all around, areas to relax in the front and back. Third week in October perfect time to see turning of the leaves at full peak. Hospitality received from Ron and Julie was unbeatable. Homemade cookies and organic coffee too!

Our stay at Broad Street Inn was absolutely wonderful! Very good communication beforehand. We felt so happy and excited as soon as we checked in. The owners are so warm and helpful, they spent so much time giving us advice about activities in Nevada City. The room was clean and comfortable. Everything about his hotel is charming! Excellent location also. I will most definitely be returning. Oh, and the biscotti is delicious!

Very, very pleasant experience. We booked the "apartment" that is a separate building from the main house. Very quiet, spacious and comfortable. Somewhat rustic but nicely appointed, with full kitchen with quality appliances. Huge screen TV in living room and bedroom. Great shower and bathroom. 1 block from main downtown streets. The innkeepers, Julie and Ron, were great - friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the area. Would definitely stay again.
