Navy Lodge Hawaii

Nice for a military hotel, iykyk. If you’re on orders and can stay off base, I would choose that instead. But overall it’s nice and no complaints. Paid laundry and vending. Small snack store in the lobby. Nice grounds, okay pool, basic breakfast included. Dog friendly is a plus. There’s a dog park and plenty of grass. Lots of children when I stayed. Ford island is separate from other bases. If you stay in town you can at least walk places and get Ubers ect. Rate here is $175 and gov rate in town is $202.

Staff is courteous, helpful, and respectful, always. Pool is a great way to cool off and spend family time during the day. Continental breakfast served daily from 06:30-09:00. Mini mart available across from the lobby and large dog park available across the street. My only complaints are that the hotel has a cockroach problem and moldy smelling bathrooms. We’ve seen several dead and alive roaches in our room and the hallways. Bathrooms have a moldy/musty odor due to what I assume is mold - you can see it on unsealed/un-caulked corners and edges of the tub and sink.

I have had a wonderful experience at the Navy Lodge Ford Island. maybe because I had a suite, next to the breakfast area, but the room was very spacious, clean, and well appointed. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The pool was very nice and the outdoor seating was very relaxing. As others said it has a nice mini-NEX type supply area. Overall I was very happy.

Aug2021-Great place to stay if you have kids and pets. Not very big rooms and not very fancy but basic and clean. The amenities include a laundry room with 4 washers and 4 dryers (specifically bldg2) a pool (which is cleaned everyday and is stocked with great outdoor furniture) a big dog park right across the street with beautiful views and basic breakfast in the morning (includes cereal, granola bars. Oatmeal, milk, teddy grahams). The rooms come with basic items that you can use during your stay. The rooms are clean and the cleaning staff is fantastic. They are really friendly and local with very great tips on places to try. We have made friends with quite a few of the staff! The pool

If you’ve ever stayed at one of navy lodges, you know not to have high expectations. For this particular one though, you shouldn’t have any. Broken elevator, low water pressure, sleeping with flying roaches, tiny and dirty kitchenette, extremely underwhelming breakfast, old coin laundry machines that don’t clean and dry properly and other more less significant things. The staff are friendly and helpful and that was the only good thing about this place.
