My Place Hotel-Watertown, SD

We spent the month in Canada with my wife's family 12/2025. On the way home back to Arkansas, we stopped at My Place Hotel. I'm very particular and I expect the money I pay to provide the service a reasonable person should expect. This hotel was flawless. The desk clerk was just as nice as could be and did her job so well. The lobby was clean and in perfect order. We took the elevator to the 3rd floor (elevator was clean, no odor). The hallway was clean and honestly 90% of hotels there is an odor to me. Not at My Place, perfectly clean. We got to the room and opened the door...perfectly clean, zero odor! There was nothing out of order, no odors, perfectly clean room...Had a full size residential refrigerator, cooktop... Now the bathroom. My mom would have been proud of how clean it was. Ev

The last time I stayed here I had a room that wasn't very clean and had left a review. Sara, the manager, was not in at the moment I was checking out. The girl behind the desk said she would let house keeping know. Sara called me about an hour later and apologized for the room and offered a free stay for the next time I was in town, since I travel here a lot for business. She was very courteous, very professional and apologetic and handled it like a manager should. I hope the owner of My Place treats this lady well! I stay in a lot of hotels and I don't come across many managers that have her friendly demeanor and truly cares about her customers. My room today is nice and clean! Thank you, Sara.

Very happy with our stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the price was great and the location was good. We brought our dogs with us and they gave us a first floor, corner room with easy access to the outside door and lawn area.

I spent a night here on the way home from Devils Lake, and I couldn't have been happier. There was no problem parking my truck with the boat trailer attached. The room was very clean, and the kitchenette was nice to have. I had my dog with, so I was placed on the 1st floor near an exit. She was happy about that. The staff members I interacted with were all very nice. I will definitely be back!
