AmericInn Hotel (formerly Ramkota) & Watertown Event Center

Interesting place. We had a unique experience as half a baseball team was staying the same night (so we didn’t really get to use the pool) and our sink clogged up. After trying to fix it for 30 minutes, the staff upgraded us to a suite! The most interesting part of the hotel is definitely the atrium. My family played quietly in one seating area and a group of adults chatted at the other. Gave it a relaxed feel. Parts of the hotel are not currently used which gives off a wandering kind of vibe, but overall we enjoyed our stay!

We spent four nights while attending the South Dakota American Legion Convention. The hotel has received a nice remodel and our room was nicely furnished and very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The convention area was also clean and nicely furnished. The theater room is a great asset to the hotel. My one wish would have been a softer bed. But you can’t please everyone. I look forward to a return trip. Travel safe…

First morning my 9 year old goes to eat at 845am. The staff turned her away and took the warm breakfast away. Breakfast closed at 9. The older, white haired lady that works the front desk is very harsh and rude. The rooms do not look like the pictures. We did not get room Service on our third day. No laundry room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Lady at front desk is awesome. Very helpful and very nice , i think she said she was the sister of the owner. The older front desk lady can be a little rude as i experienced but for me it didnt change anything. Overall its a nice place to stay. Rooms are big and clean. Pool area is nice and everything works. Breakfast is good always fully stocked ! Big variety aswel. Would recommened of you come to Watertown. Location isnt too bad.

Room was clean and staff was accommodating. Its a large hotel and easy to get lost in but they have maps posted everywhere to help you find your way. Pool area seemed well kept too.
