Munising Motel

What a great place! -Right up close to everything in town. -Superclean bathroom. -Nice comfortable beds. -Very reasonable price. We were just rolling through town with no internet on our phones to book a room anywhere and happened upon the Munising Motel. I wish we'd have asked her name, but didn't. She welcomed us in and set us up for the night. It was a pleasant surprise when we got inside our room! Very clean. Mini fridge, microwave, TV, all that. And even though all that stuff matters, probably the best part was it's local family operated business people. I'm not good at doing reviews, but it was everything I wanted and nothing I didn't. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I was at lunch on the day I was traveling to Munising and looked at my reservation for the address. I realized that I booked the room for Friday & Saturday nights when truly Thursday and Friday were needed. I called & explained the issue and the room was available that night. They just shifted my reservation to the nights I was planning to be in Munising||The room was pleasant and clean. The number of easily accessible outlets was truly amazing. The location was great. There were some walkable restaurants and a grocery just across the street ||But as much as I wanted to give 5 stars, I could only give 4. The a/c unit probably needed a good cleaning as there was a faint mildew smell. The TV presented some challenges and upon calling the emergency number, no answer. Upon troubleshooting, the

We had a brief, overnight stay and were very happy with our visit! We checked in late and the remote check-in was easy and convenient. The room was compact, but very clean and had everything we needed. Beds and pillows were very comfy! Thanks for a great, affordable night’s stay!

The carpet was wet when we got there. The a/c was so loud but never cooled the room (or dried it). The shower was like a standing coffin. The toilet was likely supposed to be installed in a preschool it was so short. The room stank. We couldn't access one side of the bed because it was shoved against a corner. There is no chair in the room, only option is to sit on the rock hard bed. The ice machine was broken. The TV was so small I thought I was in Michael Scott's condo. I canceled the 2nd night immediately and we left in the morning, but the owner charged me for two nights anyway.

My family and I stayed here for one night.  It was very clean and walkable to restaurants. My biggest complaint is that the door had a decorative window that does not block out light. The room was never dark due to lights outside or light from the morning sun.  It was not a quiet location either, due to the busy road, and thin walls as we heard conversations from the room next to us late until the night. If we return to the area, we will try a different place.
