Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa

I have been to boyne the last three years and have very much enjoyed it. Especially since I had not been to a ski lodge in Michigan before just in CO, NM and Washington. I went back because I had a very enjoyable experience at the spa last summer when I purchased a day pass. However I will never go back because there was woman at the spa this December that was so rude to me when I asked if I could get a day pass. She just kept saying I had to be a guest. I said I was and she said no of the services and we are charging $20 extra per service. I understand paying and that rates are higher during Christmas season however if you’re going to act like you’re a classy place please teach your staff how to have class when they talk to there customers. This is a Spa review: Fabulous respite! Visiting a friend and we chose to spoil ourselves with a spa day. Plenty of free parking in dedicated resort lot and then make your way to spa. You’ll have all day privileges and it’s quite beautiful. Downstairs for quiet contemplation and upstairs for treatments. There are also fitness classes, workout equipment, an indoor/outdoor pool and hot tubs. The spa and our facial treatments were well worth it. Thereafter, chose to dine and walk the resort’s grounds. It was a great day!

The Grand lodge is a grand place. Fast, easy check in. Rooms and facility clean with a comfortable bed. Amazing warm pool with hot hot tubs. Grounds are breathtaking. Always a favorite to visit.

We were hosted by Bluegreen vacations here. The shower water was lukewarm, which is always a disappointment to me, but the room was clean, which is most important to me! Ample towels and bed/pillows were only somewhat comfortable. Overall, grounds and staff/service, including the on-site restaurant, Everett’s were excellent! The activities and amenities outside, right at the base of the mountain, we’re absolutely awesome…string lights, fire pits, cornhole, music, warm drinks…it’s a resort for sure! We didn’t use it, but saw kids swimming in the outdoor heated pool—while it was 50 degrees outside…how fun!!! We took the ski lift up the mountain and loved the Eagles’ Nest restaurant to warm our hands and grab a drink. Then, we walked a paved trail down the mountain…exquisite! We felt l

The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is due to the almost complete lack of useful information online. Trying to find information more than "We have these activities" is very difficult. We didn't know breakfast was served in Everet's restaurant until I saw what looked like a breakfast buffet and asked someone there the next morning. Their menu online starts with Lunch. A precise location for the tubing hill couldn't be found easily. The pages that list the activities offer the ability to sign up but do not actually tell you where they are or how to get there. The people were awesome. Any staff member we had an interaction with was great!
