Boyne Vue Motel

Right off the bat I am giving it one star and have never been there. Why?! I called to check on availability for a 2 bed with kitchen and was quoted $90/night for M, T, W, TH. Midweek. The rate on their website listed it at $85/night. I reminded the older lady on the other end of the advertised price and she replied, "You are going to hassle over a $5 difference?" To which I replied, "Yes, because $85 is the rate you are advertising on line." She did not appreciated being told about unlawful bait-and-switch legalities and hung up on me. So..here's my point. If I can't trust you with your own advertised prices then what can I trust you with?? Won't touch em at this point and it was a shameful experience over the phone! Screenshot is from their website. This is one of the rare places in Boyne City or Boyne Falls that welcomes pets. My dog and I came to visit family and made our home here for a week, then extended our stay. It is a bit shabby, and certainly not updated to the current style. It could probably use a deep cleaning everywhere. But we were comfortable and happy here.||||When we stayed there were a number of Morel hunters in the complex and we all visited in the evenings. They were eager to hear about my great nephew's comical kindergarten soccer game and to tell about their Morel finds (but not where they made those finds). Oh my gosh! This place is so cute! It reminds me of the places I used to stay with my parents when I was a kid so I felt very at home here. The lady that was running the motel was very accommodating and gave us extra pillows which was very nice. As some mentioned, it is a little dated but they are definitely making updates. It has a quaint, nostalgic, log cabin vibe to it. I would definitely stay here again! Now if I could only get the stupid Morels to reveal themselves…but that is another story entirely! 🤣

Simple small motel. As a taller person I would really like to be able to sleep in the bed and not have my feet almost in the bathroom.
