Chalet Edelweiss - Boyne Mountain Resort

In recent years I have only stayed in larger groups at the mountain grand. Traveling as a couple, we chose to try chalet edelweiss. I had stayed here many years ago, so let me tell you I was not prepared for the vastly different experience post-renovation and rebrand. Chalet Edelweiss feels like its own hotel apart from the rest of the resort. After check-in we met the chalet host who helped us with our bags and shuttled us across the slopes to our room. The rooms are gorgeous and are very functional for small groups. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom sleek, and the coffee bar was the first in years to make me want to drink hotel room coffee. Any review older than 2022 is not the current Edelweiss, completely redone in and out. Charming, best ski in/out on the mountain. Rooms updated with picture windows looking at the slopes, fire pit outdoors maintained by staff, lounge downstairs where we had trophy pizza lunch with the fam (trophy pizza about 30 yards away), rehydration station for filtered water and hot water, and did I mention the ski in/ski out? People brought their skis in the halls at night and put outside their door, we had ours in our room but would have put them in the halls too now that I stayed here. We valet parked for $25/day and it worked for us vs going to the parking lot about 2 blocks away over challenging terrain. Here are some things to note for improvement. Really nice space after a recent remodel. The whole building was remodeled around 2021 and we love it. The rooms are nice with lots of conveniences. In room coffee maker, refrigerator, walk in shower, comfortable mattress, large TV in which you can connect your tablet via Chromecast. This is our second time staying in the Chalet and since discovered there is a lounge on the second floor with complimentary hot chocolate. There is also a lounge on the first floor with large dining table and sofas. There is also a self serve spa area with sauna. No Elevator so the 3rd floor might be tough for some. Right at the bottom of the hill so you can practically ski right into the building. Fire pit right outside with chairs is nice and cozy. Ice machine with filtered water, vending machines and washer

We visited the SkyBridge last winter because I received tickets as a Christmas gift from a friend. As we were on the scenic chair lift we passed over Edelweiss Lodge & it was just so cute we knew we would have to come back and stay. So glad we came back this year for a two night stay! We didn’t really know what to expect because there aren’t too many up to date reviews on Google, but our stay was great. All the rooms are updated and the place really does have a European vibe. They drive you and your bags over from check in over by a side by side, which is cool (hotel is a slight walk up the hill with no sidewalk). There is a fire outside each night, water/tea/hot chocolate stand inside, also with pastries in the morning, & a Nordic spa. They also do a cute turn down service each night. The

Room was very modern, clean; large bathroom. Amenities were extensive. Chairlift ride to mountaintop was great. Resort was almost a FIVE! Would definitely visit again.
