Motel 6 Texarkana, AR

We only stayed for one night and that served its purpose. The beds were comfortable, the TV, microwave, and fridge worked. The option to use an HDMI cord or any other input into the TV did not work. The internet, while high speed, was spotty and constantly in and out. The towels, washcloths, and pillow cases were clean, but have certainly seen better days. The walls are very thin so if anyone within 3 rooms on either side of you closed their door, you ALL know it. With it only being one night, it wasn't difficult to get over the roughness. The deadbolt on the door worked, but the top door latch was stripped on all 3 screws where it is evident someone kicked or busted down the door some indefinable time ago. The room and property were nice overall compared to previous motel 6 stays. The sheets and towels however were stained and the security latch visible broken. The screws were barely even hanging in the wood of the door frame. Drainage on sink and bathtub was extremely poor. Staff were polite and nice. Mattresses need replacing. But still somewhat comfortable. Overall cost wasn't worth the stay. Lots of gas stations, fast food and couple sit down restaurants near by if not with walking distance

Positive: Nothing Negative: Everything. We had to wait for the room to get cleaned at 3:30 in the evening. Bedspread had several burn holes in it and the sheets. The mini fridge had cigarette burns on the inside. We had no microwave. There were drug deals happening and roaches.

I am self-employed, and occasionally travel for business, and for that reason I really appreciate a good value. I often stay at Motel 6 properties, and although they are not fancy by any stretch of the imagination, they are typically clean, and somewhat comfortable. This location did not measure up to prior experiences.||||I requested a non-smoking room, as I always do. The second I walked into the room, I was hit with the overwhelming stench of years of stale cigarette smoke. My travel size Febreze was the only thing that made the room habitable. The other irony in my "non-smoking" room was the number of cigarette burns in the bed linens. The bedspread had three burn holes, the blanket had two turn holes, and even the sheets had one burn hole. You would think that any hotel room would be

Absolutely terrible, was afraid I'd get carried away by roaches in the night so I slept with one eye open. Had to step on three of them as soon as I opened the door. If the weather wasn't so bad I would have asked for my money back and gotten back on the road. DO NOT STOP HERE UNLESS YOU WANNA TAKE BUGS OR DRUGS WITH YOU.
