Best Western Plus Texarkana Inn & Suites

Summary: best price in area, clean updated rooms, good breakfast My family and I stopped in on our way from TN to TX for the night. Looking at the area, this BW was the best price at about 20ish dollars less than the other nearby comparable chains. The hotel looked well kept, smelled very clean and pleasant, and the 2 Queen standard room we got was surprisingly spacious! No issues with the thermostat, the room was nice and cool/cold all night, and the beds were very comfortable. The only thing that was not great about the room was the shower. It was relatively clean, but the shower head was so small that it felt like a sink bath. Somehow i felt cold in the shower even when directly under the faucet. Very nice facility, brand new - but the breakfast was horrible. I was there when it opened, and the lame dennys style sausage was cold, How is that possible? Eggs looked so bad, I didn't even try them. Looked like some warmed up stuff that tired to look like a cracked open egg cooked somehow but not fried. Even the muffins were low quality. Come-on, You can do better. What a shame for such a nice facility. If I can't get a quality breakfast, I'm not coming back, no matter how nice the rooms are. It's a push for them to even call it a hot breakfast IMO.

Not sure how this hotel ranked as high as it did. I always read the reviews before I book a room. That was the worst night sleep I think I’ve ever had in my life. The mattress was so uncomfortable. I had a king size bed and could not find a comfortable spot on the entire thing. The sheets were like sandpaper and just rubbed on my skin. Out of the four pillows available only one had a pillowcase that was soft enough for my face, but it had a rip in it. All of the pillows were so mismatched and lumpy and old. If it weren’t for Priceline nonrefundable policy, I’d go somewhere else. I wipe everything down when I get to a room, but for some reason, I lifted the cushion on the chair and sure enough. I’m not sure if those are dead bugs or crust from bread. Yuck! The office type chair look like so

Fresh linen 👍, clean, nice staff, price is reasonable. Hot breakfast is slightly different in 3 mornings we were there. Shower curtain is too short (above the tub) causing water flashing on the floor. We had the wipe the floor every time

Positive: The room was very nice Negative: It would have been nice to have a better snack selection available to purchase after I checked in
