Motel 6 Tacoma, WA - Fife

Compared to other properties in this same price range, this Motel 6 is a solid, reasonable option. It is not luxurious, but it delivers what you would expect for a budget stay without major red flags. One standout feature is the ample big rig and RV parking in the back, which is a significant plus for travelers needing extra space. That is not something every location can offer, and it adds convenience for certain guests. The property is generally quiet, especially compared to many similarly priced motels. Rooms are basic but visually cleaner than most. Service depends on the day but usually quick and painless. Location? It's in Fife, lol. It's not the worst part of Fife, its more on the commercial side of town. Convenient with Starbucks and Dairy Queen and gas station within walking distance. Also, a hop and a skip from the casino and several restaurants just a block away.

For the price, you can find a better hotel down the road that offers comfortable beds, better housekeeping that cleans your room, and better rooms. Few of the staff are nice. Manager Chris is an a**. Make policies that aren’t published. Bathrooms, fridges, and microwaves need updated. Grounds are trashy. Clean towels have different forms of body hair on them. Have no shampoos and conditioner, not even any for purchase. Used to be a frequent visitor, but no more.

Positive: There was nothing to like. The room had no microwave no fridge, no coffee pot. There was no shampoo. It was grungy, floor was sticky. The room smelled horribly. Negative: People were constantly talking right outside our door and smoking cigarettes and throwing the butts on the ground in front of our car. My bed was lower to the ground then the other and it was definitely broken in.

Room was absolutely unacceptable. When I showed the photos to the front desk night manager and asked for a different room he laughed at me , said wow you really picked apart the room . And proceeded to hand me a disinfectant soaked rag and told me to clean it myself as they had no other rooms available. Refused refund. I would've left anyway but that was all the money I could spend on lodging for the night. I had another reservation for the next night which I cancelled and went to the DoubleTree Hilton (wonderful and clean as a whistle) In the morning when I checked out was again refused a refund and was laughed at by a whole new shift. I will never stay at another motel 6 and I recommend you don't either. They charge the same rate for filthy no amenities even the ones listed were not av
