Motel 6 Summerville, SC - Charleston

If I could rate it a ZERO, I would!! Had to go down the road to use an atm because the young man at the front desk didn't know how to get the debit card machine to work. Online was quoted $101.00 with tax . Ended up paying $124.00 So not worth it. The hotel offered no WiFi. The young man front desk said it didn't work. When I asked for the password, he said he didn't know it !!! Blood spots on the floor. Food crumbs on floor. The room was chilly, ran the heater all night and it never got warm in there. The water in the shower was warm never got hot. No hair dryer in room. Also online stated toiletries in room. No, just one tiny bar of soap. Come morning, there were no coffee makers in the room. Went to front desk and no breakfast or coffee as it stated online. False advertisement!!! Was up

Positive: Location, staff and pet friendly. Negative: Cleanliness of rooms. Doors had gaps that let drafts in. Floors were not sealed properly so it left your feet/socks dirty.

Great location. Close to everything. Hotel was kind of full and was surprisingly quiet. Rooms are larger than average and exceptionally clean. It’s close to several shopping centers and dining establishments. Definitely a good choice if you’re on a budget.

Pleasantly surprised! I figured for the cost it would be ok, but the rooms were NICE! They are clearly under renovations. The new rooms are great, the front desk girl was very pleasant, and we enjoyed a weekend getaway! Oh, and now I know I can bring our dog next time, they are pet friendly.

I wasnt going to post this but the upcharge on a reservation without notice and constant reminders to employees about wash towels and hand towels ( so often we gave up and just bought our own towels so "wouldn't have to bother anyone" )and bed linens, little to no wifi for the last 3 weeks, not to mention used drug paraphernalia ( used heroine needles, multiple syringes and spoons found in our room by my 13 year old son ) enough is enough. To then be shrugged off like its not a big problem.....like you for real?!. Absolutely the worst. I've rented this room now 3 weeks I have reported all this to the manager here and not even one glance or even a hint a to a partial refund as I'm just supposed to deal with this.....
