Motel 6 San Antonio, TX - Downtown - Alamo Dome

The room is very dirty and in poor repair. The security latch on the front door wasn't functioning, the closet type door that provided "privacy" to the bathroom was missing a knob, was gouged with marks and would not even properly shut. I reserved a non smoking room but it reeked of smoke. The ice machine had a sign on it saying it didn't work but the clerk said it did. The pool was also closed for maintenance. There were no amenities like a fridge or even a microwave in the common area with the non functioning ice machine. They advertised a 12 minute walk to the Alamo...perhaps that would be accurate for Olympians. We ended up having to Uber to the Alamo. I almost ALWAYS stay in Motel 6 because I have found them usually very clean, well msintsined and reasonably priced. That was NOT the

Positive: Location was great close to down town and quiet. Covered parking not over crowded. Negative: That you can not vape inside or outside of the hotel. I understanding smoking cigarettes cause it reaks after wards & we are not cigarette smokers. And, you have to sign a waiver but flavored vaping has no smell. So we had to leave just to use my vape.

DO NOT GO HERE dirty rooms and they will not give refund no matter how much they know you deserve one. Receptionist lady is VERY rude. They tell you it’s policy for $25 deposit and want your physical card because they claim tap pay doesn’t work. The card reader literally says “tap to pay”. Our rooms were so dirty , we even took the rag and showed the lady how dirty it was and she said we could’ve gotten the towel from somewhere else. This place deserves 0 stars.

My family and I were staying just for the night and everything was great. There was a slight smoke smell, but nothing too bad. The room looked new, beds were comfortable and shower was ok. It wasn’t too far from downtown and that was a plus! I didn’t see too much of the staff except for front desk clerk. He was nice and checked me in quickly. I would stay again.

The room are extremely clean and pleasant. The customer service at the desk was great. I highly recommend.
