Motel 6 Portland, TX

If you just can't drive anymore, this place is OK. It is an origional Motel 6 on its last leg. First room had black mold. Front dest was able to out me in a freshly painted room. Will do for one night. Wouldnt bring my kids here. There is a couple of fishing spots just for guests and a deck to look out onto the water. Staff is friendly and polite.

While it is a motel 6, the location is fantastic for fishing! ||Great for bringing the grandkids, and the staff is absolutely fantastic!!!||To give an example? I went through a 3rd party and was informed that doing that couldn't get me a room near the on-site fishing piers. When I called, the staff gave us rooms right next to them. Later, AFTER the kids went to bed, I had one too many and hit the floor hard! The staff rushed to this idiots room and not only made sure I was OK, but took the time to get me everything I needed in the way of first aid. I know, it's a humiliating thing to write about, but they REALLY wanted their guest to be OK. ||Most places would have called security or booted us. ( And? No, this is the first time I've done anything like that).||I can only say good things a

The room was absolutely disgusting. The bathroom smelled so bad like urine. The shower curtain looked to have been years old. The bedding was stained. I had to purchase my own cleaning supplies just to get us through the night we had already paid for. Overall just a filthy hotel. I would not recommend this police at all.

This place good be great. But the cleaning people do not clean anything. They just make the beds and put towels. There were blooding fingerprints all over the bathroom. And the walls were so dirty. The floors haven’t been swept or mopped in a long time.
