Motel 6 New Orleans, LA - Near Downtown

There’s roaches here and they refused to give us our money back and gave us the runaround!! Don’t stay!!! Even men walking in underwear in hallways! Overall place is dirty and ghetto and has roaches. Bathroom shower barely works too btw! These are just some photos from videos we took of the roaches… Spoke with a young man who couldn’t help a few hours ago and told us to wait till the manager came at 7am. As you can see it’s past 7am now. spoke to manager and they lied to us about fixing the issue… mind you we slept in the car! No money no discount or anything! Dont stay here unless y’all want that roaches to be traveling with y’all lmaoo

Kind of below expectations after reading few reviews here. The room was bare minimum with cluncky fridge. No water or coffee provided in the room (just a very small soap in the bathroom). TV is available in the room. Heater/air-con works fine. The receptionist could not care more about you. Homeless people were seen walking around. Plenty of unguarded parking space. Approx 15 mins drive to the French Quarter and 1 block away from Walmart. Pro-tip: secure your stuff whenever you leave the room. Don't leave a chance.

Checked in at 11pm, checked out by 1230am (90 minutes). Why? - mystery stains on bed, floor, curtains, and throughout bathroom - holes in sheets/duvet - Dirt on pillows/sheets/duvet - sticky floor - sticky bathroom door knob - broken mini fridge that was screaming - room reeked of cigarette smoke - "quiet hours" were anything but, screaming in the halls the entire 90 minutes I was there. - "quiet hours" meant there was no staff to deal with the room issues - they don't tell you that you have to do a late check in before 5 or they'll cancel your reservation, until they contact you at 4:45. Luckily, we were driving and not flying across country. - Provided a number in the text they send related to late check in, that didn't matter because you have to call the hotel itself, who transfer you

Large room, spotless, all amenities with a washer/dryer on the floor. Coffee in the morning with an all professional staff that just made my stay on point for my short visit. Check in online and check out a breeze. The location was conveniently situated next to several restaurants plus the bus transportation was one block away for my downtown walking. I won’t stay anywhere else while I make plans for another trip.

Positive: Coffee in the morning, check-in was great. Pillows, towels, toilet paper, soap, trash bags +.. Negative: All was good
