Motel 6 Mesa, AZ - South

I love this place mostly for the location. I work literally right across the street from this motel and it's nice spending my lunch breaks not at work and not having to eat out every day. And I love that pets are free, which is really nice. However, the price of the room is still hardly reasonable compared to some other places. It's way more than I think it should be for what is offered. But the grounds are usually quiet, generally friendly place. There's places to eat around here, Walmart and a Fry's right down the street. The office staff are nice. Everything in the rooms work. If you're staying long-term, they will come clean when you ask. It's a decent place to hole up for awhile if you can afford it.

Positive: Price Negative: Hair all over room from cleaning staff. Front office workers will try to charge you fees not posted on facility or listed in policy. I was placed on DNR for refusing to pay a late fee. Not to mention random men have knocked on my door at night.

We made our reservation with Motel 6 directly and it was quick and easy. They have a military discount, so that was great. Check in was fast, easy, and friendly. |Desk clerk asked if a middle room was ok (that is surrounding a courtyard), but wish we would have gotten an outside room next to the parking lot. Courtyard was noisy and 'sketchy'. Got into our room....no microwave, fridge, coffee maker that have almost always been standard in motel rooms. It seemed pretty clean...the tub was not great looking, but I think that was cracks from age. The floor was tile....I spilled water on the floor and when I cleaned it up with a washcloth (white), it was black...gross! The room was big enough that my father's wheelchair could move around easily, despite not being an ADA room, the bed was comfortable, and the employee who checked us in was super helpful. One of the nicer Motel 6s I've been to. The next time I need lodgings in Phoenix, this will definitely be one of my top choices.

Designated Motel 6, Mesa South property as jumping off point to explore nearby Apache Trail. Spoke w Alston who proficiently conveyed preferencs to Front Desk upon arrival. Enjoyed new Queen bed. Easy to use state of art TV. Well lite with ample space. Facilities recently updated (shower and bathroom). Clean and modern. Staff affable, civil and professional who were actually glad to see me. Good hiring and training practices. Appreciate The Best Arizona Hwys Hospitality. Many thanks for "leaving the light on." Would recommend and will return Motel 6, Mesa South upon next visit.
