Motel 6 Memphis, TN - Graceland

Housekeeping needs cleaning lessons. I chose this hotel as it was right down the street from where I was picking up in the morning. Of course, I always seem to get the second floor when something is wrong with my room. I’m not too fond of someone else’s hair anywhere in my room but specifically the bathroom and bed. I had to get another room as there was hair in the tub and in sink. Positive note: it is a gated parking lot which makes it secure.

I checked in like normal, the associate asked me if I smoked and I don't so I requested to have a non-smoking room and everything seemed normal, until I got to my room. First thing I noticed, there is like a 2 inch gap between the bottom of the door and the ground that small rodents and insects could EASILY enter the room through, the AC in the room is all rusty on the control panel and the room smells like.... A SMOKERS ROOM?? I thought I requested them to not put me in a smoker room? Also I saw a cockroach walking across the floor like it owned the place. I went to the front desk to complain and she said that because it was over 10 minutes past check in that they couldn't refund me or change my room... but tomorrow they can have housekeeping spray fragrance in the room as my original pla

Great stop for the night, for our cross country trip. Room was clean, lot is secure, with gate. Easy parking. Only complaint is, the bottom of our door was tweaked (a 1/2" gap, that let light and sound through) and the red eye flights that flew overhead.

The room is ok but cable is trash bring your own device. And have roach problem. Have capable to be ok.

This place is rough. I mean, the rooms aren’t horrible, but they aren’t great either. Motel 6 can be such a hit or miss unfortunately. This whole place smells like weed, cigarettes, and lost dreams. I even switched rooms hoping it would get better, but to no avail. a red flag should have been when i checked in and the receptionist said i have 10 min to inspect the room. oh well. i stayed, i slept, i moved on with my life.
