Motel 6 Galveston, TX

The room was clean but had quite a few little bugs and flies. Minimal amenities and only one ice machine in the whole complex, in the front office area. The room had a pungent, musty odor that appeared to be masked by a cleaning chemical of sorts. The guest microwave, in the front office area, was filthy and stunk so bad, I gagged and wouldn't have thought to put food in it. One of the floorboards in the bathroom looked to have been chewed through by termites, possibly. Would not recommend this place nor will I come back.

These people are scammers. They accused me of illegal trafficking. I am a federal agent! And I will not stand for terrorist activity! Also I paid rent 2 hrs 39 mins ago! And they called cops to remove me! I’ll leave and go studio 6 and come right back once a detail clean up and re establishment has been done! These people don’t even run the place properly. The Gerald hotel clerk who checked me in! 03/01/2026 at 3:30 a.m. made me wait for him to do a audit! And he was using marijuana! In his car! And it was very noticeable. The stench was huge! That is insane! Also they haven’t cleaned my room not once! I asked them don’t clean it! While I was out! But 03/04/2026 and 03/25/2026 I’ve asked them over and over to clean it! And the gave me materials to clean it myself! Also my WiFi on their TV

We arrived well before noon, but the nice lady at the front desk told us we could wait out by the pool until a room was cleaned. Then the cleaner waved to us within about 25 minutes to let us know we could go check in.||The room was pretty tight quarters, with two big beds. One bed was pushed up against the window and wall with the AC Unit blowing right on it. The other bed was pushed up against the wall to the bathroom. It was nice that the sink was separate, and the toilet and shower were together.||The pool area was the nicest part! They kept it very clean, and there were plenty of loungers and tables with chairs. The location was not very close to anything useful. And the area seemed a little sketchy, but we were not afraid to be there. We had to Uber in to town to eat dinner, and then

It was convenient and clean. Nothing special, just a basic room. If there's Wi-Fi, I didn't find it. The room did have a fridge and small microwave, and the beds were comfortable enough. No hand soap, shampoo, bath soap, etc. Not my typical hotel stay, but it more than served it's purpose for one night.
