Motel 6 Elmsford, NY - White Plains

Outdated motel (you get what you pay for), but really could use some inexpensive upgrades like a better mattress. The mattress was worn out and not very comfortable. It was really cold and the heat in the room didn't heat up the bathroom until the next morning (on highest heat setting). Window in bathroom leaked cold and floor was freezing 🥶. It's a pet friendly location and there are a few areas close to walk your dog, and the (worn out) laminate floors are good when traveling with pets. The staff was VERY friendly, however and the location didn't feel unsafe. One note that isn't the hotels fault but there was a loud noise at night that sounded like a foghorn.. still don't know what that was LOL.

Positive: This is a decent place to stay for an affordable price, especially in New York during December. I liked that the room was clean enough, the bed was alright, the shower was hot with good water pressure, and the heating unit worked well. Negative: ""

DO NOT STAY HERE. Unfortunately, the accommodation was entirely unacceptable and did not reflect the standards or conditions advertised. Upon arrival, we discovered that the room was in an extremely poor and unhygienic condition. Despite booking a non-smoking room, there was an overwhelming smell of stale cigarette smoke. The lock on the main bedroom door was broken, with loose screws hanging out, compromising our safety. The bathroom walls showed visible black mould around the tiles, and several ceiling tiles were cracked and poorly taped together. Additionally, rubbish was found on the floor between the beds, clearly indicating that the room had not been properly cleaned or prepared for guests. The bedding on both beds was in an unacceptable state - worn, stained, and covered in cigarett

I stayed here while riding the Empire State Trail. It's a solid two star no frills motel. The room was reasonably clean and quiet. No problem keeping a bike in the room. Given it's proximity to New York City, the price was reasonable.

Positive: I was able to stay with my pet, and the price was affordable.
